PSG take on Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday at 8pm, before the football season proper gets underway on Friday evening as Wolverhampton Wanderers host Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Championship, also at 8pm. There is also Championship action to look forward to, with Burnley taking on West Ham on Sunday at 4pm. The big event of the weekend sees the first trophy of the season up for grabs, as Arsenal take on Manchester City in the FA Community Shield on Sunday at 3pm. For pubs in the north, there is also a strong midweek opportunity as Manchester United face Leeds United in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Football aside, in cricket, action from The Hundred continues with another packed schedule and double-headers running throughout the week. Finals day takes place at Lord’s on Sunday, with the women’s final scheduled for 2:15pm and the men’s final scheduled for 6pm.
